Phishing For Tweets

Reblogger Tim Cahill
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Results

A quick post to make my fellow Realtors aware of a recent twitter scam.  If you're using social media as part of your business plan, you'll want to make sure all your social media accounts stay secure!  Just beware!

Thanks to a great Realtor here in eastern Mass, Deb Agliano for originally posting this!

My latest scam alert is a fake email supposedly from Twitter letting you know that you have an unreadable message.

Twitter Phishing Scam

Don't be fooled by the From address - this email isn't from Twitter.  If you take a look at the link, you can see that it's not going to Twitter either.  Click on it and you'll be taken to a site that looks like Twitter but it's only purpose is to convince you to put in your Twitter username and password so the bad guys can steal your account.  Let the bad guy's hook go empty - don't fall for this phishing scheme.
