I went to Rain camp Chicago on Monday and took in a lot of information presented by Ben and Bob. The presentation was fast paced as they had a lot to go through in one day. So far, I've implemented (partially at least) three of their suggestions.
I created a new website, placesinplainfield.com to focus on drawing some SEO to my real estate site. My goal is to have it as a place where people can come to get information on events, restaurants and homes for sale in Plainfield. I have a long way to go to catch up to Ben's 700+ domains, but one step at a time.
I also started a Facebook fan page, also called placesinplainfield. I haven't done much yet with this but once I get some friends signed up it should become something that people will check up on or help supply info to put on the website. This reminds me that I need to go over the notes from Rain camp again.
And this blog. I need to start doing it daily. It should help go a long way toward getting me up on the search engine results. My broker posted one blog about short sales in Tinley Park in 2008 and is still the right at the top when you Google Tinley Park short sales. I think I need to write better articles.
So all these new ideas take time to implement when you still have to worry about getting homes to sell, showing homes to buyers, and prospecting for new clients. But I think it's coming along. I hope not, but maybe after the tax credit expires, I'll have a little more time to build my online brand.
