Today, the weather in the Greater Sacramento Area couldn't have been finer. I decided to drive over to Hagan Community Park in Rancho Cordova, to check out the Annual Kids Day event! The festival hosted approximately 2,000 kids and adults to participate in free kid activities.
The activities included FREE Sacramento Valley Live Steamers train rides, face painting, music, a raffle for 100 bicycles, petting zoo, hayrides, swimming - and a variety of other games, activities and GREAT food!
Dozens of service organizations were on hand to provide demonstrations and information to assist children and family in their endeavor to live happy and healthy.
It was a FUN packed event and day!
Rancho Cordova's Hagan Community Park consists of 75 acres, with a Community Center, 8 tennis courts, 3 swimming pools, 3 baseball fields, 3 soccer fields, basketball court, petting zoo, play grounds, tot lots, and fitness court.
In addition there is a scale model steam railroad (Sacramento Valley Live Steamers). The park abuts the American River Bike Trail and foot access to the beautiful American River.
