Nope John, It was feeding time and all were enjoying the tasty treats, some of us even had an adult beverage! But hey you never know maybe someone was trying to get out out KP duty.
Now that sounds like hard word & fun at the same time to be able to build your own kayak Nick. I'd like to see pictures of that when you get a chance! I have been rafting down the Colorado River and it was cold even in late August...brrrr. I guess I shouldn't have jumped out and floated down the river near the end of the trip :)
Spending the day kayaking beats the hell out of sitting infront of the T.V. all weekend.
Hi Cynthia, another great way to share with us the feeling of a 2 minute vacation. Our minds wonder off, a nice way to recharge...
What a nice picture. I love the branches framing the top! Sounds like you had a busy day!
Cynthia,
I love this picture! How deep is the water? I can see myself hop in and relax. :)
Hi Jim, you got it man...unless there is a Three Stooges marathon on ;)
Barbabra, yes a mini holiday for the brain!
It was fun, busy and relaxing, does that make sense Sharon Super Stager?
Gerry, I'm not sure of the depth but I did read somewhere Lake Oconee means 'Great Waters' in the language of the Creek Indians. This photo was taken on a small part of the water, it's actually quite large.
Cynthia, jumping into the Colorado would probably not have been my first option. I used to do a lot of white water rafting in Wisconsin on the Wolf River...lots of fun and a little scary sometimes when the water is high and going through a narrow gorge. I'll post pictures of my buddies kayak when he's finished.
Morning Nick, Yeah I was feeling so exhilarated and I couldn't stop my adrenaline rush. After I got over trying to recover my breath I gotta admit it was fun drifting down to the camp :) Thanks for stopping back!
Sounds like a deal to me, but are you CPR certified, because I can't swim. Not that I plan to fall out mind you, but the fact that I don't plan on getting in a car wreck never stopped me from wearing a seat belt in preparation you know.
I want a paddle boat, you know, one you sit in and peddle like a bike... with of course extra seats for the dogs.
oh, what lake is that by the way. Seems my mind is starting to waunder and I can't get all my thoughts together.
Goodness rain-droplets, I just received all your comments this morning!
My, my you are the witty one once again JL! I'm sure your lovely Jamie will start you out nice and easy doing the doggy paddle in the shallow end. No I'm not certified, but I should be for all the time I spend near the water.
Hey Jack, I'm a peace & quite kinda gal.
Ooooh Tammy they are fun and great exercise, they used to be available for rent in the Baltimore Inner Harbor when I lived in MD. Well of course a seat for the dog, lol! This was on Lake Oconee :)
Karen, what a perfect combonation, exercise and relaxing at the same time!
I see you haven't left without me. Thank you for waiting a few hours days weeks.
Jack & furry family, The day was just as you described it.
Debra, I think I could put it to good use all week :)
Russel, Always room for you my friend!
Love to canoe, never tried kayaking, though the kids and grandkid like it. I don't trust my "get out skills" , after dumping a canoe once...the photo is really peaceful, very nice shot...
Hey there Cheryl, my get out skills are questionable also, lol! It was a nice day spent with even nicer friends :~)
