Last night, Tuesday night, we got the first portion of the data migration complete for the new servers. However, the project has been a little more complex than we planned for. Because of that, we will be taking the site down for a few hours each night this week. We felt it was important to allow access during the day, versus having the site down for a huge stretch of time.
(not to mention, our developers need sleep so they are sharp to make sure this is done right)
We will be bringing the new servers completely online Tuesday night, April 27th. This will include four hours where the site will be down. Starting at 11pm Pacific Time and running through 3am Pacific Time you will not be able to access ActiveRain.
After that, things should be functioning MUCH better. We really appreciate the patience everyone has shown these last few weeks. No one has higher expectations of ActiveRain than we do and we are very much looking forward to having the proxy errors behind us.
Thank you everyone for hanging in there with us and (mostly) taking it easy on us as we worked to resolve those pesky proxy errors and bad gateways.
EDITED:
(If you are back here reading this post for a second time, swearing that the first time you read it, it said Monday night........maybe you're right, maybe you're not......you can't remember exactly now can you? Are you losing your mind?
OK, OK, I admit it. It used to say Monday and I edited it. We just missed our window to get things started tonight in order to be done tomorrow morning so we are going to have to hold off for 24 hours. All good things are worth the wait.......or at least that's what my fiancee told me when she wouldn't let me kiss her on our first date)
