Open House and Internet Marketing Is it worth it?

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Selling Indy Metro, LLC RB14037942

I held Two Open Houses this weekend for four hours each day at my listing 624 Sugar Maple, Mooresville, Indiana Real Estate for Sale.  I had signs prominently posted out on the main rd on both sides of the main entrance.  They were easy to see and were clearly marked.  I had one buyer out of the 8 hours at my open house from the signs on the road.

From the Internet I had 5 different buyers.  Some with flyers in hand.  I felt good because I new then that all the marketing I have been doing on the internet was working.  Some from trulia some Zillow some said I don't know I just found you somewhere on the internet who knows maybe Active Rain.  One  buyer from the internet group I have an offer on the property and awaiting countering the offer from my Seller.

It is Clear that marketing on the internet is Worth it.  I will continue and ramp up my efforts even higher.

Be There and Don't be Square Internet Marketing is worth it, trust me.

Hi Shannon~  In this day and age, any agent that doesn't intensely use the Internet for marketing is doing their sellers an injustice!

Shannon, I guess the old Poker adage is true... if the table is playing loose, play tight, if the table is tight, loosen up.  In my trading area, very few other companies do open houses, and our company who regularly does them, seems to be gaining both buyers and sellers because of the perceived work...

It seems like the Internet produced more visitors than your signs.  You just reminded me that I need to advertise my upcoming open houses.

Very interesting, indeed.    Another example of the "old style" marketing choices that no longer "work".

Thanks for all the comments.  The numbers do tell the tale.  It was a shock though to me to see that on 1/6 came from signs and 5/6 came from the internet.  That is huge!  I would of been very lonely if I would of been depending on the signs.
