Lynbrook High School's Robotics Club Demonstration Friday, April 30

San Jose's Lynbrook High School robotics team, the Funky Monkeys, (also known as FIRST Robotics Team #846), plans to demonstrate their invention's abilities during lunchtime at the school quad this Friday, April 30.
Team members will showcase the various capabilities of their robot, such as kicking soccer balls, hanging, and driving over obstacles at the Robot Demonstration at Lynbrook High Quad Fri., Apr. 30.
The Lynbrook High Schools Robotics Club was formed in 2001 by Christopher Suen, Henry Chu, and Shesi Xie, with the help of Shesi's father, Mr. Yang Xie. In the competitive Silicon Valley Regional Competition, Lynbrook's Robotics Team usually places in the top 16. Students attending Lynbrook High School, part of the Fremont Union High School District (also known as the nationally-recognized Cupertino Schools), live in San Jose and Saratoga.
As a participant in FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) a non-profit organization which was founded in 1989 by Dean Kamen, (inventor of the Segway Human Transporter), the Robotics team competes with 900 teams worldwide annually.
