I'm in the process of writing an updated and revised edition of my book "Ripping the Roof off Real Estate" and I need some help getting my hands on some statistics.
In the chapter "The Unrepresented Seller" I quoted a stat from the 2005 NAR Home Buyer Seller Survey showing that REALTOR-assisted properties sell for 16% more than FSBO's. I need some numbers that are more up to date than 2005 and have had trouble getting my hands on a more recent NAR survey.
Does anyone have access to any studies showing how REALTOR-assisted properties stack up against FSBO's when sold? It doesn't have to be NAR's study (in fact a more objective source would be superior) but I want to make the point that going it alone is not the solution.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.
