Boycott Arizona? Really? San Francisco is boycotting Arizona, poor Arizona Ice Tea (from New York) is seeing a drop in sales. And why? Because they are finally standing up for the Federal Laws and asking questions. It's illegal for anyone in ANY state to be in the United States without the proper authorization....but we can't ask. Is this more of the "don't ask, don't tell"?

I don't get it!!! Arizona is on the front line. They are having significant problems on the border that the Federal Government refuses to seal. They are having property and lives hurt and lost. This is just their way of defending themselves....and I support it. I'd like to see California do the same thing. So....

I'm going to Arizona this weekend, with some friends! We are going to stay in their hotels, eat at their restaurants, purchase from their stores and enjoy their great natural beauty.

I SUPPORT ARIZONA!!!!

Karen, I remember hearing similar shouts of government disappointment while going to college. While in Arizona will you also sit down hold hands and sing Kumbya? I'm sorry I just couldn't resist. The border problem is going to be an interesting issue this summer however.

The people of San Francisco need to show genuine compassion to illegals. Why not send busses (paid for by S.F. taxpayers) to Arizona, and bus them to their new home in S.F.? Don't have ANY limits to how many they'll support, as that would be "over the top" hypocritical.

Karen - thanks for coming to Arizona this weekend!  If you've got some free time give me a call -let's meet for a coffee or drink.

Personally - I don't agree wiht this law - it's created a  huge mess for our state.  I've heard many people are pulling their conventions and other business away from AZ.  With the issues we've had all this is the worst timing for all invovlved.  I think there is a much better way of dealing with the 'bad' guys. The good ones far out weigh the bad ones. My guess is will be repealed.

With that aside - play away and enjoy our resorts!  Bring some layers - I heard it's only going to be in the 70's and possible rain on Sat.

Karen, I agree with you 100%. Unfortunately, AZ must take matters into their own hands because the Feds are not helping at all. Measures need to be put in place to keep them out to begin with. Then, there would be no need for random checks in AZ.

This country has sent people (and a monkey) to the moon, invented laser guided missiles, helped California become the botox capital of the world, etc etc So....I cannot understand why we cannot keep people from crawling under and over a fence.

I am originally from Arizona, and I am glad they are taking a stand.  No State perhaps has more history with problems from illegal immigration that Arizona.  I remember going to public high school where as much as 10% of the students were illegal aliens, and they were getting a free education off tax payers.  Believe it or not folks, this has been going on for years.  Their parents worked, did not file income taxes, and were sending their kids to our public school system.

My grand parents were immigrants to this country from Belgium, and became citizens legally.  Why should we neglect our laws and boycott a State because they are enforcing them?  If the Obama administration objects because it is not being 'nice', well too bad.  It is not 'nice' to rob people either, and taking tax dollars from citizens and giving it to people that do not have their shoulder against the same wheel as us in making those tax dollars it not nice either.

This is what happens when we elect a President that has no clue about the law, and no experience with business, and whose experiential track record is 'neighborhood organizing'.  We need competent people in government that can think with regards to a 'Nation' and with due regard for the law and basic common sense with economics.

I am proud to be an Arizonan.  I am proud of my State for taking a stand.  It is long overdue.
