Hula Hoop for Fitness at the Pell City Civic Center
I have fond memories of playing with a hula hoop as a child but never thought about using the hula hoop to exercise and burn calories as an adult. 
I was at a fashion show when a young lady got on the stage and entertained us with a hula hoop dance. It was amazing to watch her perform her dance with multiple hoops going all at once. Later in the evening, I was talking with her and she explained all the health and fitness benefits that come from hula hooping. It sounded like a lot of fun.
Last Monday night I attended her class at the Pell City Civic Center. Dana Moore from Aurahoops was an excellent teacher and the class was very enjoyable. We were having so much fun, the time flew by. I could feel the burn from the workout and you can burn up to 600 calories in an hour. Hula hoops have become a part of my daily workout routine. With her expert guidance, I look forward to learning the dance.
