Thank You - Active Rain

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Living Albuquerque 16784

Some of you might have noticed that my previous post was Featured. I wrote that post for the following reasons:

1.  I wanted the folks at Active Rain to know that I personally appreciate what they do for the Real Estate Industry and for me personally, and that I support them 100%

2.  I was getting tired of hearing the negative chatter associated with Active Rain.  Even if I were the only voice to have said what I did, I felt that I couldn't just sit idly by and not say anything.  My experience on Active Rain has ALWAYS been POSITIVE.

3.  I wanted to give Active Rain my Vote of Confidence.

I have since learned that there were many others who were doing the same thing, and you know what, somehow it did not surprise me one bit.  I saw Lenn Harley's Blog, I saw Debe Maxwell's Blog just to name a few. So for the nay-sayers, you are outnumbered.  ACTIVE RAIN has a lot of support.  Thank you very much.

I want to share a post by Sheryl Hartley of Platinum Realty Sales and Management in response to my blog. She wrote:

I liked your blog. It shows commitment and belief behind your loyalty. I have only been on this site for 11 days and I have seen a lot of bickering but little commitment. It is like a marriage. You don't bail just because you may have had a glitch in the road. Good job and I would like to follow your future blogs if you don't mind.

Sheryl

Sheryl had only been on the Active Rain for 11 days, and here she was, providing this quality of feedback.  Sheryl, Thank you.

Active Rain is now up and Running.  THANK YOU ACTIVE RAIN

I was so frustrated.  I never said anything but since I couldn't get on the site, said screw it.  I was virtually locked out.  So glad to be back!

The most frustrating thing for me was insufficient communication.  Having been on the flip side morethan my share of times, I know and appreciate how easy it is to communicate too little, as well as how easy it is to communicate too much.  It's not an easy situation under the pressure of the moment, with the clock ticking at what seems like triple time.  So I join you in thanking AR, and appreciating what we have here, all the more from having been partly without it for a bit.

Llyod - Your are absolutely right. Active Rain is the best social network for the real estate industry. It is very costly to operate such a big network, we all are grateful to Active Rain community. Thank you.

C Lloyd- Thanks for staying positive.  I am glad to have the opportunity to have discovered how great Active Rain is.  There may have been some minor glitches, but it is so worth it to hang in there.

ActiveRain Rocks.  I appreciate that they keep the agents in mind when making decisions about the site.  The benefits will come to them in spades for making decisions that support the agents that make AR the 800lb. gorilla it is.

I am sure we had some people leave AR out of frustration, but the majority of them will be back.  I don't know of any other venue that keeps our industry so tight knit.  Those of us that have be patient and understanding, will win in the long run.

C Lloyd,

Are you kissing up for a feature? It was frustrating for a while, but I'm glad it's (almost) back.

C Lloyd, there were many who kept it positive, through supportive posts, humorous posts we made it through. I didn't hear any negative stuff, guess I am lucky. Anyway your post was right on the money, AR is sooooo much more than just a social site, or a blgging platform, I couldn't turn my back on a friend.

Hi CL,

I am profoundly honored that you would include my post on your new blog. I have a deep appreciation for those that work hard at staying at the helm of what makes them successful. Their is nothing in this world that works perfectly and AR has provided a service that I can come onto, not pay a dime out of my pocket if I chose too and yet provide me with service to grow my business. Those who complain and want to groan about AR services have the right to do so but I came into this right when the glitches were happening at its peak. It didn't scare me away and I knew they would eventually fix it. I am grateful for AR and after being here now for 16 days I am over 10,000 points and looking forward to the day I hit my first 100,000.  Again, thank you CL for your blog and acknowledgement.

C Lloyd I will never leave this great place after all the great connections and friendships that I have developed over the years. And I hear you want to come to the next Raincamp. Why don't you come to the one in DC next month. You know it is going to be a blast.
