I was just wondering what my agenda will be today- and now I see that I will be learning how to make the most out of my Rainmaker upgrade! So- I have some reading to do- for sure. Thanks to Amber at ActiveRain for getting me all set up and sending the tutorials and information. What I am most interested in- is how to have a great blog that will drive people to my website! I need to learn more about key words and phrases and how to write and interesting blog that still says what it needs to say to catch those search engines. I am seeing a "Blogging for Dummies" book in my future! My goals is to build my real estate business even larger with web traffice seeking real estate assistance in Killeen, Fort Hood, Harker Heights Texas! MORE LATER!!!
Paula: For some ideas on blogging... take a look at the top bloggers in Texas. Read their blogs, try and find some of their tutorials, and ask them questions on what to do to get better at blogging. If you really want to learn about being a great blogger... you are pretty much surrounded by lots of people who will be glad to help you.
One suggestion I have... is for you to submit your blog posts to some of the Active Rain Groups. I see this post is only submitted to Texas information, and Bell and Killeen. I suggest you read a Groups tutorial I wrote a while ago. Using the Active Rain "Groups" Feature . I hope this helps...
And... Congratulations on becoming a Rainmaker. Take care...
Paula: You are very welcome. And... I have written quite a few other tutorials... mostly getting the ideas for them when Newbies like yourself either asked me a question, or found they were having problems.
So many of the tutorials on Active Rain are written by those I call "the techies." They seem to pertain to complicated techie stuff rather than simply addressing the everyday beginner stuff that Newbies, and many Oldbies as well find confusing. Sooo... feel free to email me with any questions as you run into them. I am always glad to help. I am sure it's because of my background of nine years of teaching before I got into real estate.
Welcome to ActiveRain. This is a great community to network with others as well a great place to learn from other's experiences and knowledge. I've enjoyed it; I hope you enjoy it as well.
