Anyone Have ActiveRain Tips?

I have been a member of ActiveRain since last year and have just upgraded my ActiveRain account.  I plan to utilize this site to its fullest potential and would like for someone to let me know how ActiveRain has helped them and their business.  Can anyone give me some good tips on using ActiveRain for my business and networking?  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Watch and learn and good luck. Tell us about you..why you are in real estate, where you like to eat in your town, what new listing you are excited about. Do it daily. Watch the results.

Hi Del ~ You probably know this but you get 25 points per comment for comments you leave on others' blog posts up to a maximum (for points) of ten per day.  It's a great motivation to dig in and read a lot of blog posts to find ten you want to comment on. Don't just read the featured posts - go through lots of posts - easiest if you switch to the Professional category or you'll be wading through a lot of listings.  If you do this every day you'll quickly find favorite bloggers and see who's making waves.  Plus you'll learn more than you can imagine - it's really amazing I think.

By reading a lot here it will become much clearer how you can use your blog in your business. There is no one right way - there are many ways.  Some people stick just to real estate, others include lots of seemingly "off topic" posts, others write really well about their communities - you name it - you can write about it.

AR is an incredibly effective way to build your internet presence. You'll be amazed at how quickly your posts can be tops in the search results. Nothing beats it!

Thank you Liz, I am becoming more aware that internet presence is the key.  The new "real estate  marketing way" I see and that is something that I have to do for my business! 

I have discovered that this site has tons of a wide range of experiences and with a background in education I know that knwoledge is the key to being to being successful.  With many years working in a family construction business coupled wth my years of working with people in education I plan to make it my number one priority to learn from the best and I greatly appreciate your response to my post.

I do know that anyone willing to share their knowledge with me makes a wonderful circle of people in which I should be affiliated.  I want to acquire enough knowledge to share also!

The People You Know, Like and Trust!

You are ambitious Del, and that is a good thing.  Not only do you want to blog about short sales, but also about your local community.  Whenever I go to a locally owned restaurant I take pictures of my food, before I eat it, and then blog about the restaurant, the owners, where it is located, what subdivisions are near and how great the food is.  If you have a bad meal or experience do not blog about that EVER!  Always post only good nice stuff.

Del if you blog everyday it will give you a major presence on the web and you will see a big increase in your business after a few months.  Just be you-blog about whatever interests you as well as your listings and neighborhood.  Good luck!
