Today my son, who is a freshman in High School came home after school and said, "tonights homework assignment is easy, at least for me" Uh oh, I thought, and told him to 'go on". He smiled and said "my assignment is to get one of my parents to write a letter that tells me how to be successful". I looked to my wife, who immediately blurted out, "don't look at me I will be at the swim meet all night"
Ok Ok, how difficult can this be, I have been writing real estate articles for Colorado Golf magazine for a few years now, how hard can it be to write a letter to my son about success?
I sat, I meditated, I prayed and I started and this is what I came up with,
Dear Luke,
I believe the number one key ingredient for you to be successful is to find your passion. Personally I think you have already found your passion - Music- and you have a back up passion - cooking-. To be successful, extremely successful you absolutely must love what you do. If you love what you do you will have no problem devoting the time and energy required to become the best you can be.
Loving what you do will not only create whatever level of income you wish to attain, but it will also allow you to share your passion with others and bring out the best in each of them.
Finding your passion will naturally attract others with similar passions and in turn benefit everyone. As long as you love what you do, the money will come and you will always be happy.
Whatever it is you decide to do, put your heart and soul into it and you will be successful.
Find it, write it down, make it happen,
I Love you, Dad
After writing this to my son I realized how true this really is, the AR founders have this passion, my passion has always been helping others.
Whats your passion
