Wordless Wednesday (almost!): Storm Chaser?

A fellow REALTOR® and I were talking about life cycles yesterday and she said something that I had never heard before. She said that in life, we are either 'heading into a storm...inside the storm...or heading out of a storm.' How we deal with each phase is relative to how we live our lives.

This made perfect sense to me in how to deal with life's challenges. Taking a proactive stance when confronted with problems helps to get through 'the storm' more quickly in order to move forward. This is true in our personal lives and business practices.

Are you a storm chaser?

I don't know exactly where I fit in on the whole storm thing. But I do like the calm before the storm phase and the sunny skies afterwards!

Oh Craig just stole the exact words I was going to say lol.  And then of course we usually get a rainbow at the end of a storm?  Pot of gold???

Craig, I'm with you, believe me! The song "It's a wonderful world" comes to mind when I think of where I'd like to be.

Jenny, We all need our rewards for a job well done, whether overcoming an obstacle or just getting through it! A pot of GOLD sounds great to me!

I don't mind storm unless it's an F-5 or a cat-5 hurricane.  I don't want that much trouble.

Wanda - I must be the "storminator" with thge turbulence I tend to brew.  Great analogy to let people know that life is a journey and like you said you are either heading in, in it already or just coming out of it.  Our perception and reaction to these events is what determines our happiness/misery.  Great stuff as always!

I'm not sure where I fit in, Wanda, but there is some merit in your friend's philosophy.  I prefer the calm before the storm. LOL

John, Having lived through a tornado, I know exactly what you mean! I'd rather chase rainbows to be honest.

Thanks Nevin, Hey, someone's got to shake things up! It's up to us to deal with issues or don't and be in a constant state of disarray!

Debi, I was on my way home the other day and was captured by the sweeping motion of the rain clouds to the right and then looked overhead! I pulled over...

Marlene, I think most of us prefer to be there, it's definitely the least turbulent! Happy Wednesday to you!

Nice picture but even nicer that you had your camera with you.  I have sometimes missed some good shots because of that.

Wanda, great photo!  I think that we are most often in the storm, it really depends on our attitude how bad the storm affects us.

When I look at that picture, I can almost see the clouds moving! I try to remember my camera every time I get in the car because photo ops are everywhere. Thanks for stopping by Gene!

Thanks Tony! Life is just better when with a good attitude and overcoming adversity makes us appreciate where we've been.

Those storm clouds look scary. Your friend describing life as storm is very interesting and somewhat true.

Jenny, When my family lived in Georgia back in the 60's, a tornado touched down in the street, jumped over our apartment building and completely destroyed a brick grocery mart on the other side closeby. We hid under the beds...had no cellar and just huddled together but the sound is something I'll never forget and as soon as it cleared, we all ran out to look for candy and goodies! Thank goodness no one was in the building when it hit.

Thanks Debra! Her words really made so much sense to me and I had to share it with everyone.

Diane, The photo went well with the saying and that was quite a storm!
