When Pigs Fly in Ashland? and other things you need to know when buying a house...

Who would think that reading the City of Ashland's land use codes would be entertaining?

I have a client who wants to buy a house in the City of Ashland and I needed to find out for thembuy what kind of animals you can have in the city limits.  Turns out you can have pigs that are not more than 18 inches tall.  But read below from the City of Ashland's code - itis the funny part:

a. Be confined by fence, leash or obedience training to the property of the person keeping or maintaining them or to the property of another if such other person has given express permission.

Does anyone you know teach pig obedience training?

I have tried, withoout success, to teach obedience to a few pigs. Have to go check if any of those "pigs" are over 18'. Yep that's the problem, they are taller!

How many obedient 18' pigs are allowed?

Cute post.

Talk to Todd Clark about his pet pig. He raves about this pig.

I would laugh, but my number one agent and number one on Activerain has a pet pig and I have to say that thing is great. (It is better than most dogs)
