Well I got the dreaded notice..."you have been selected for an IRS Audit" - my first one. I was so nervous before my first meeting with "IRS Wendy" today that I nearly started crying- and I NEVER cry! We keep pretty good business records- and our company is WAY SMALL so I don't really know what I was getting so worked up about- but wow I was a basket case!
"IRS Wendy" was a nice young lady- who within a few minutes put me at ease- and we had a nice visit. My husband was somewhat annoyed but thats normal for him. LOL! We have our 2nd meeting with "IRS Wendy" in 3 weeks where we are to give her our bank statements and a some other documents that she will send us a list of in a few days. Hopefully we will have everything she needs- and she can close our file SOON!
We could all be better record keepers Im sure- but my gosh its so time consuming! After this- I may be more inclined to do better at it - we shall see!
