Coachella Valley April Home Sales.  The Coachella Valley encompasses La Quinta, Indio, Coachella, Vista Santa Rosa, and Thermal to the East, along with Palm Desert, Cathedral City, Palm Springs to the West), but I concentrate on the Eastern Coachella Valley.  Total Sales for our Eastern cities in April were:

La Quinta: 

Condos:  17 Total   Low:  $185,000   High:  $630,000
Single Family:  113 total    Low:  $110,000 High:  $2,800,000
Land:  4 Total   Low:  $25,000   High:  $220,000

Indio: 

Condos:  8 Total   Low:  $57,000   High:  $148,000
Single Family:  42 Total Low:  $25,000     High:  $575,000
Land:  2 Total $10,000 each

Coachella: 

Single Family:  47 Total    Low:  $70,000 High:  $219,000
Condos/Land:  No Sales

Thermal:

Single Family:   4 Total    Low:  $53,000    High:  $175,000

The Eastern Coachella Valley cities of La Quinta, Indio, Vista Sants Rosa, Coachella and Thermal, saw tremendous growth and in many cases over building during the boom years.  It is a gorgeous area of the desert, and there are beginning to be signs of recovery.  Builders and Investors are looking at the land and also finished lots/projects to buy at a very low price.  Will these projects be completed?  Will the lots be land-banked and held for a year or two?  I'll keep you posted of any new info..
