Getting to Know Foreclosures

Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Services

I am a realtor.  With foreclosures on the rise I am working my way to get to know banks and secondary mortgage lenders better so I can list their repo's for sale. One mortgage friend I have in particular said it might be the attorneys who choose the realtor or broker to list the home for sale.

Does anyone know what department/contact I should be looking for within these lending institutions, so I can introduce myself. Thanks for whatever information you can provide.

I think it is different depending on the Bank involved.  So you want to be a REO broker then.  Can be kind of a ruff business, had any experience with foreclosures, as far as trying to market them??  Not the same sort of buyers to find as in typical residential home sales.

Technology bringing you home.
James is right, it can be difficult.  We work with Becky Loar - she is the ranked number 1 in the country for REO.  It is difficult from the stories I have heard, but the hard work will payoff.

As you can see I work so hard it took me 2 years to respond (G)! REO is the best business but the commitment is great and your family must be willing to support you in the time you spend grinding away at all the forms with a smile (at least while someone is looking)
