Buyers are finally getting off the fence.

By
Real Estate Sales Representative with Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty

Finally after months of sitting on the fence, we are seeing buyers actually acting like buyers.  First quarter of 2010 in my office is ahead of 1st quarter 2009.  We had the first time buyers tax credit and the $6,500 move up credit but some of our buyers fell into neither of those categories.  As long as interest remains low and inventory high we hope to see more of these buyers taking advantage of some real deals in the Lake Country area.  Lake Oconee, Lake Sinclair and the surrounding areas have some great buys on and off water.  If you know an investor put a bug in their ear to "come on down the water is fine"  Reba Phelps,GRI,ABR,CDPE  RE/MAX Lake Oconee

It is kind of confusing why some clients still stay on the fence. I have determined that they are like this with everything they do in life, so It's not just home shopping. This makes me feel better about their indecision. LOL

I think people are still a bit concerned about the economy. We see it gradually improving but usually the public is the last to react.
