Well I hope each and every mother out there had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. Here in Northeast Florida, the weather couldn't have been better. It was a warm 80 degrees with a beautiful cool breeze.
My 2 wonderful teenage boys (16 & 19) and amazing husband completed 2 back yard projects for me yesterday. They built an extension to our patio for the grill to sit on and dug me a new 3 x 30 garden so I can plant my roses (which I did). My 16 y/o also bought me a dozen red roses and 2 bags of my favorite gummy candies.
For their hard work, I cooked them a big hearty breakfast and bought their favorite fixings for "dagwood sandwiches" for lunch.
The roses have been planted and we just need to bring the sod that was dug up to our neighbors to fix a spot in their yard. We worked hard but we worked together and had a great time. To me, it was a perfect way to spend Mother's Day...laughing and playing in the dirt with my family.
