We have always been big fans of the Calgary Real Estate News. From our first day of being realtors we have considered CREN as the biggest advantage of being a member of the Calgary Real Estate Board. 17 years later, we cannot understand how any realtor can expect to be successful with out using CREN.
We recently signed up for a one year program that combines CREN TV and the newspaper. We have the convenience of using the mls information and photos to auto-populate the ad. All we have to do is send in the mls numbers that we want to feature for the week and CREN does the rest. We have planned our ad so that it catches the attention of prospective home buyers with the amenities that Chestermere offers. It also allows us the opportunity to tell people what we as realtors can offer them as buyers agents. The ad also uses the microsoft tag technology, that allows readers to obtain more information about the listings by using their smart phone. The ad also directs readers to our website where they can get a lot more information about us, the community and of course these and other homes in the area.
There is a copy of the Calgary Real Estate News available for download from CREN.CA in a PDF format. You can search for keywords such as a community name, realtor name or other keywords.
Our featured listings then appear on that week's Real Estate News, they also appear for that week on CREN TV. Channel 90 (Shaw Digital Cable) will broadcast the Calgary Real Estate Show not only at 5.30 pm daily, but also Monday - Friday at 9:30 pm (MT) and Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 am. Prospective buyers can also view the show anytime at www.cren.ca. We are planning a live video of us talking about Chestermere lake and all that it has to offer. A live video will show people how beautiful Chestermere is and give the public a chance to get to know us.
Now prospective home buyers in Vancouver Channel 92, Victoria Channel 92 and Winnipeg Channel 88 and Edmonton Channel 90 can view CREN TV from the comfort of their own home. Can you imagine the sadness of having to leave these other areas that have lots of lakes or the ocean to come to land-locked Southern Alberta? Then as you watch CREN TV you see that there is a lake driving distance to downtown Calgary an easy commute to the airport.
In 2009 our MLS listings sold on average 10 days quicker than the rest of the MLS Listings in Chestermere even though our average sold price was $245,000 higher than the average sold price of homes in our area on MLS. We firmly believe that this is due to our marketing program of which CREN plays huge part in.
We can tell which properties are in CREN by the number of showings that we have on that property. It is like turning a light switch on. Without CREN there is darkness, and with it there is a spot light on the property and the public can find it. Let's face it if they cannot find a property they can't buy it!
