When REOs are repeated it becomes a challenge. Look for beauty anyhow.

For the second time this year I have been assigned an REO that was an REO about two or three years ago and I had the pleasure? of marketing it.  It's an REO again!  The one today required a drive into the country and when I got to it a guard dog wouldn't let me get out of the car.  There's never a dull moment with REOs.

But look what I found on the way!!  The bleached wood on this old building that is falling down in places was priceless. It was easy to see with no shrubs and trees covering it as most old buildings have.

Bleached wood

I drove along snapping pictures of it.  It would have been a beauty once with an upstairs for kids to love. I peered at the front and was amazed to see something in the window.  Look what was displayed there.

Trophies in the window

Wonder what kind of mystery lurks in this house.  Strange, strange, strange.....but interesting.....

This is the beauty of REOs as with each one you never know what lurks behind the door. Watch out for the dog.

Cameron, that one is NOT the foreclosure.  The one pictured was just eye-candy on the way!

James, see above comment.  This one is not the REO that I have to market.  It would be a shame to bulldozer this old antique!!

By the window I can tell this is a real trophy---plus the roof is bad :)

But Charles, why are the trophies in the window?  There has to be some strange story here.  How could you say this roof is bad?  It is scenic, very artistic.  I recall the last time I took photos of a scenic set of buildings, a tornado took them down and now they are memories!

If only the homes could tell their stories to us!

Maybe as a project, you could try to track down previous owners to get some insight into the history of this home. Bet there would be some interesting tales to be told.

Charles, I'll bet you're right.  Some old coach lives there and guards those trophies.  Perhaps he's so scary no one can get in to get the trophies.  I'm glad I didn't try.

Michael, can't you see the beauty of the weathered wood?  Look how folks are trying to antique their kitchen cabinets again today....or other furniture.  LOL

Jim, the stories of that house would be interesting no doubt.  Wonder how old that house is?

Barbara - I love these old relics, reminders of different times, the stories that fill the imagination, the sadness of imagining why these were abandoned. I have quite a collection of pictures of places like this.

Barbara,

That, if he was to inspect it, would probably be the most expensive house Charlie has ever inspected.

Mike, we think alike.  You'd have snapped this picture too, wouldn't you?

Steven, Charlie B would absolutely tear this house to pieces with his inspection.  He'd probably write up "no plumbing" even though there's an out house in the back yard.  He's a terror!

On the other hand Steve would just pee his pants as soon as he saw it :)

I need to call Nutsy to settle this dispute over who is the best inspector of them all.
