During the month of August you can attend summer concerts every Thursday evening starting at 7:30pm at Repplier Park in Banning. The Playhouse Bowl will host 5 free concerts at the park that is located at San Gorgonio Ave and Wilson St. The nonprofit organization sponsors the series of concerts along with the City of Banning and media sponsor, The Record Gazette newspaper.
The outdoor venue can seat a couple thousand fans in front of a big stage with professional quality sound and lighting.
The first night was just last night and the performers were Abba Gold, performing music from the pop group ABBA.
Here is the schedule of the next performers:
August 9th: "Broadway Under the Stars", Micheal Stairs, Frank Haggard, Tara Miller and cast.
August 16th: Japanese Taiko, Performing Japanese Drumming
August 23rd: Jim Curry's tribute to John Denver
August 30th: "Country Couples", Performers will sing to the music of Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, The Judd's, and Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood.
