Livable in San Francisco

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams

BloggersConnect, a mini-conference for blogging realtors and other misfits, took place in San Francisco last week. That's where I have been. The event, though packed with information, was short and sweet, and left plenty of time for exploring.

To help me find my way around San Francisco, I picked up a Bike Map at a local bookstore there. I'm glad I did,
because otherwise I would not have known about the Duboce Bikeway Mural.

This above link will let you see the mural its entirety, which is difficult to capture, because it's something like 360 feet long. I have compiled my favorite details below.

I thought about an interesting convergence of ideas: here was I -- a cyclist and realtor from Chicago musing on creating livable communities, stumbling upon this mural, and the ideas about livability that it represents.

Beautiful mural, thanks for posting about it, Justyna. I was wondering where you were.....

I hope you enjoyed yourself and learned a lot.

Jo -- I definitely picked up quite a few ideas at Bloggers Connect. It was a great trip, and a great opportunity to put the names with the faces. I'm glad you liked the mural. It really ought to be seen in person, if you ever get a chance. BTW, I am away again, this time way up north on an island on lake Huron. So I will probably not be posting for a while, because internet here is sketchy. I'll be back though.

Lucky you, Justyna !  I love islands and try to get up to Sandy Island in Lake Nippissing as often as I can to spend time with relatives at their cottages. Unfortunately this summer I won't be able to go....

Islands are so wonderful....no cars, often no electricity except for a generator; propane lanterns or oil lamps in the evening, all the silence, all the peace....my kind of life.

Have a wonderful time and please take many pictures to share upon your return. ((-:
