Get involved with the Realtors

My wife and I have been in Washington DC this week at NAR Meetings.  We both work on committees and went to the capital to talk with our Representatives and Senators.  It quite amazing when you talking to your elected officials they really to want to hear from you.  They want to know what your think.  They want to know what they can do to help.  It's a great afternoon.

I hope everyone who sales real estate is involved with the Board of Realtors.  Get involved on the local level.  Take some time the figure out what the board does for you.  Find something you are interested in and make that project better by providing a new ideal.  You don't have to be the President to make a difference but you do have to get involved.  Know matter the size of your board there is something that needs to be done.  Take the time to go to a State Meeting.  Don't just complain---Get in there and make it better!!  At some point everyone should make a trip to a NAR Meeting.  The trade show.  The education.  The friends to you make.  And then just to see the people do the work for you that make this a wonderful business.  Take some time and just say thank you!

Everyone should give back to their industry.  The work done by volunteers is amazing.  Come out and take a look!

Good advice and start early as soon as you join the board.
