PARK THEATER OPENS FOR THE SEASON

The Park Theater tauted as the oldest movie theater in the country still in operation was not quite ready for it's Friday opening on Thursday when I took these photo's.  We received 16 inches of snow on Wednesday, and another six on Thursday.  You can see that there are no footprints in the snow, and why do we have that much snow in May?

PARK THEATRE NO FOOTPRINTS IN THE SNOW

The Park Theater has a story all it's own, and particularly the tower above the theater which is empty.

ROBIN HOOD PLAYS AT HISTORIC PARK THEATRE

The snow was shoveled, and the crowds welcomed the old theatre back for another season.

Doesn't look like people are walking around.  SNOW in May that is too cold.

OMG. . . . I'm having flash-backs to last Winter.  How do you folks tolerate snow of this magnitude in mid-May?

Many many many moons ago, when I lieved in CO, the first year I was there. It snowed in May. The Park Theater sure is a mighty fine theater.

Have a good one

Tom, Tom, and Dale,

Thanks for the comments!  We had the Jazz Fest here today, and the snow was all gone.  I'm guessing there is one more good snow left before we are done with it.

Thanks for the comments.
