The 5 Types of Realtors and Clients

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with High Ground Realty

Today I depart a little from real estate topics and dabble into a little bit of introspection.  In my life experience, I've noticed that all individuals seem to fit into one of five categories.  Realtors and customers are no exception to this rule.  Here are the five categories of people:

  1. People who think about doing something
  2. People who talk about doing something
  3. People who complain about doing something
  4. People who brag about doing something
  5. People who GET IT DONE!

Think about the clients and Realtors you've worked with-Does every client you've met fit into one of these categories?  I can place each one into one of these general categories.

Which type of person do you prefer to work with?  And are you that type of person?

It is important to surround yourself with people who GET IT DONE.  It is impossible to estimate how much time and effort we waste with unproductive thoughts, actions and people.  I hope you've found my observations helpful and motivating.  When you find yourself in a difficult situation, try to step back and evaluate how you can be that person who gets it done!

Hi Brett,  Thanks for the post.   Just got off the phone with an agent for a buyer who wants to buy my listing at a price far below the list price.  I suggested we split the difference and get an appraisal.  If the appraisal is less than the selling price the buyer can walk !  Now his guy is worried about hurricanes, terrorists, the market, blah, blah, blah.  Interesting coincidence .
