Ray: Yes, to answer you question. Chaffinch Island Park is at the end of West River and leads to the ocean, not a lake, so you can have motor boats, sail boats and kayaks in the same area. Lots of room for everyone. And I would love to have one of those big boats! Would be wonderful! We have a small boat that we keep up in Maine, Dan wants to bring it back to Connecticut so we can put it in here and explore the coastline.

Sandra--It is amazing how restful it is to just sit a view water as far as the eye can see. You have to remember that from where I sit, it is 2000-3000 miles to the ocean. We do enjoy the visiting Lake Superior which is our closest big body of water...Still a 2-3 hour drive. Looks like you both had a wonderful time! :)

Teri - 2-3 hours - Wow thats quite a drive to be able to enjoy the water....Guess I'm spoiled by the fact we can enjoy the shoreline any day of the week.
