Diane: Are you familiar with homes for sale in Penderbrook Steve?
Our family is relocating to Fairfax County VA and we really want to purchase a home that surrounds a golf course yet is convenient to everything.
Steve: Diane Penderbrook is great...you should definitely read all the info in this post...but if you just want to know what the real estate value and activity is, follow the links below for May reports on Penderbrook Condos, Town Houses and Single Family Homes.

Lots of good stuff to help you determine the value of the neighborhood. The rest of this post provides information on the community of Penderbrook.
I will be working in Roslyn so I want to be close to a metro stop. My husband is going to work at Fair Oaks hospital. Do you think Penderbrook is a community that would meet these requirements?
Steve: I would definitely recommend that you investigate the community of Penderbrook. In addition to having its own golf club, Penderbrook boasts an exercise facility, beautiful tennis courts, play grounds, basketball courts and plenty of walking trails and side walks.
It is right across route 50 from Fair Oaks mall, and close to the entertainment emporiums at Fair Lakes and Fairfax Corner.
The Vienna metro station is 2.5 miles up route 50 and 66 from Penderbrook, where it straddles that highway with parking and entrances on both sides.
There is really no place like it in Penderbrook in close-in Northern Virginia. It provides resort style living amenities, but within 10 miles of the hottest, most growth sustaining, 2nd highest median family income in the nation, job market in the United States.
Diane: Wow, you really crammed a lot of economic incentive in that last sentence! What about my husband's commute to Fair Oaks Hospital? Also, we may not want a single family home. Does Penderbrook have other housing choices?
Steve: Fair Oaks Hospital is just 1.5 miles down West Ox road and around the corner left on Rugby road. Peace of cake! As far as your housing choices....the Penderbrook designers thought of everything ...it features garden style condos, town houses and single family homes in all price ranges...truly something for everyone.
Diane: Sounds good and looks good to from these photos. Also, what philosophical advice would you give us regarding our house hunting adventure?
Steve: Check out the totality of the choices before you, analyze your needs and wants, separate the two, visit as many properties as you need to until you can connect with just the right home for you. It will be almost a spiritual sensation....a 1970’s terminology…you should feel the right “vibe”.
The right real estate agent will understand this and enjoy the hunt as much as you will…do not work with anyone with whom YOU do not have the right “vibe” there is no point in that.
Be at peace.
