The City of Helena Fire Department was hard at work last week in a training session at the entrance to Riverwoods subdivision. It was a very interesting and inspiring site to see the fireman being raised high into the air with the crane type lift on the firetruck. One of the fireman said that they were training on a piece of equipment with the Alabama Fire College.
The Helena Fire Department has grown considerably since its beginning in 1960. They pride themselves in helping others and doing what needs to be done to make the City of Helena a safe and great place to live, and to serve and protect the citizens of Helena and their property. The Helena Fire Department is poised to respond and adapt to an ever changing community today and in the future.
There are currently 3 Fire Stations that serve the City of Helena.
Station 1 - 816 Highway 52 East
Station 2 - 103 Oak View Lane
Station 3 - 4828 South Shades Crest Road
Station 2 is located only 1 mile from the entrance of Riverwoods which adds to the security of knowing that if needed they can respond to a call quickly.
Special Thanks to The City of Helena Fire Department for your hard work and dedication!
Another great reason to live in the wonderful City of Helena and beautiful RIVERWOODS!
