2010 Chamber Golf Outing...Tullymore!
Today was the Mecosta County Area Chamber of Commerce Golf outing. This year we had the opportunity to play Tullymore in Canadian Lakes. From the minute you drive up you know you are in for a treat as it has a majestic quality that has you in awe before even getting to the course. Today was not only my debut at Tullymore but golf period. Probably not the course for a beginner but it was a scramble so I had a team to keep me out of trouble. First thing you notice is no matter how long you have been doing the driving range the actual course is tougher. The pro shop claims they sold me a dozen balls but I left them all over the course so I consider it rent. Some how buying them and then hiding them in the woods and lakes and not sure where places seems better if I was just renting the balls. We had a great foursome and enjoyed the 77 degrees and sunshine all day while maneuvering through the course, even using my hits a few times. If you get a chance to play Tullymore I would definitely put it high on the list of to do's. We shot 4 over par which for my first time on a course seemed fine. Seems like every hole is a challenge. With water and sand everywhere you look (and I hit). I think you will like it. Best of luck.
