Okay, it really has nothing to do with ActiveRain, but I did get the message from my AR control panel and it's the first of its kind I've ever received. I am not blaming AR; I can't personally think of a solution, since you can contact any member... But I am curious just how many people get this type of stuff:
It was on my AR account page as "new mail." Check it out.

The weird part about this is that she comes from the UK, according to her Yahoo! address. The other weird part, is that English is clearly not this person's first language. Hmmmm... I used to get all my spam from email addresses that originated in Hong Kong.
Now this one is a nice English lass. What if she just wants to meet me? What could be the harm in that?
I never knew a girl who didn't capitalize her name, but maybe that's a British thing?
Also, I am curious why she didn't address me by name. Too much a break in the cut-and-paste routine?
Is there some sort of way to spam ActiveRainers? I honestly don't think so... I haven't figured it out. So, this person, probably a male, is individually sending emails to random AR accounts. One at a time? Really? One at a time?!?!
None of this makes sense. I would love to know if anybody else has received offers for lovin'. And, more importantly, if the AR email system has been hacked somehow.
Still funny either way though!
