Believe me, I've tried.  I'm not sure why people don't verify that what they are forwarding (or posting) has any credibility.

Barb:  It is amazing what nonsense folks send around the web... on purpose.  They seem to be so intent on creating chaos... they don't seem to know what to do when things are going smoothly.  Just more scare tactics.

A great post... thanks for putting it together.

I know what you mean Julia. I check a lot of the nonsense at snopes.com and politely tell the sender that the info is false.

Hi Karen Anne, Scare tactics is exactly what it is. Don't we have enough turmoil in this business?

Barb,

I understand about wrong information, but not sure about "when things are going smoothly". Is it about wasting billions and trillions of future money?

We will have to wake up one day, and start thinking where to get the money. We can't increase the budget and the debt like that and expect than nothing will change.

People are just trying to foresee where it will be. Yes they are scared, and shouldn't they? Presidents there for 4 years, max for 8, but what they do will affect us for much longer.

It is a bit early for 'smoothly'. It is like a vacation, when you spend and rest. It ends and then you do not spend and work

Jon, My father used to tell me that if I had to charge something I probably could not afford it. He also used to tell me that if I did charge something and could not pay it back when the bill was due, I definitely could not afford it. It would be interesting to see where we would be if everyone lived by that philosophy.
