The new Hawaii Information Service is so full of bugs and quirks; it’s not fair to agents or clients. Can you imagine trying to do 1 update, and having to go through 15 pages of questions just to complete a simple update? I have sat there with clients for 30-45 minutes trying to get an update completed. I for one do not have the time to be a Guinea Pig for the Hawaii MLS, if you do, please dismiss this posting, but if you’re tired of wasting your time, please act on this. I am not looking to start a war with Hawaii MLS, I am just looking for other agents, clients, to speak their voice – take the time to voice your opinion – send emails, make calls, let them know your disappointment. In fairness to the H.I.S., they are claiming that this is a new universal format that is required, but I have talked to agents in other states, and they find this completely ludicrous. Investigating on my own I find this format, not universal with other MLS systems, but more in a universal format that reflects some of the PAY PER VIEW type of listing’s, (similar to Yahoo Real Estate – your public listings are being sold to special interest groups for a financial gain to HIS ) .rather than a legitimate MLS listing. So Hawaii MLS if you are wasting the time of licensed agents to further your financial gains – shame on you. If this is truly a universal Realtor format (not Realtor.com) – I will delete this, and post a retraction to this post. Realtors, you know how to contact your local MLS representatives. Clients, if you not sure how to contact them, email me directly and I will send you information. I feel compelled to not post Hawaii MLS contact information publicly, again I am not trying to start a war, just trying to draw attention to a real problem! I am Realtor - Lance Owens and I approve of this message (had to put that in there)
