8 Weeks to a Better Blog and Social Media Strategy (Week 5, Day 1)

8 Weeks to a Better blog and Social Media Strategy

Week 5

Day one:

Action Plan:

We all get busy, Michigan is a seasonal market and this is our busy time of the year. Have you thought of using a guest blogger to help you out?  We all heard last week that mortgages applications were down 27%. Sounds like they have time.

This action plane today is to invite one of your lenders write a post for you as a guest blogger on the mortgage industry. Have them pick a topic on loans, FHA loans, HAPA, rates, history....anything will help educate your community.

It will be exposure for them, help you out and inform your community in their area of expertise. If they enjoyed it perhaps they would commit to one post a week.

I've done this in the past with great success with newsletters I've produced and mailed.  I haven't gotten around to doing for my blogs.  Since I've shifted from mailing printed material to blogging online, I need to remember what once worked with content exchanges will work for blogging too.

Hmmm. Sounds like a promising idea, but I'm afraid I'm not connected with enough mortgage lenders to utilize it, LOL. Two that I do use have their own blogs, and my in-house lender...forget it, they don't blog.

Missy, great idea.  Details: how do you mechanize this idea?  Have your guest blogger send you their post in a Word doc and then cut and paste into your own ActiveRain post (but attribute to you guest blogger).

Glad they featured this, so I can see what else you've thought up!  Good suggestion to get the mortgage rep as a guest blogger.  As you wrote, if only they would do it.

I have tried and tried to get my lender on board.  Most lenders, and even agents for that matter, act like they've never heard of ActiveRain.  They have no idea what they're missing!
