Oh no .. its not a stupid question Ernie.  It's a great question. We don't really say cow, its more like koe or co as you put it.

Just in case you might wonder in reverse...Here it's pronounced Leba-none (nun), not Leba-non.

Lori, your blog presentation is super-duper. We also have some challenging town pronunciations:-) Even the locals tend to vary in pronunciation. I think of it as my Spanish expertise. I may mess it up, but it gives someone the opportunity to "help me out". Saucier: some people say SOSHA, so people say sosher. The same with Gautier: GOSHAY seems to be the most prevalent pronunciation. Kiln: THE Kill. I don't know how it earned the "THE" in front of it.
