Tip of the Day!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

Tip of the Day: Make necessary repairs before you list. If a buyer is to enter your home, you do not want them pointing out all the repairs that are needed, so make the necessary ones ahead of time so the buyer thinks about where their furniture can go!

This is a great point for all sellers. Just recently I walked into a listing priced at $750,000 and all my buyers wanted to do was to point out how badly the wood floors looked, how areas needed caulking, and touch ups of paint were needed. Small repairs will make the biggest difference in a home priced in this range to one that is only priced in the $100,000s.

So if you are planning on selling, definitely consider this tip! It can set you apart from the other homes in the neighborhood and the ones that continue to sit on the market!

Great point!  A small investment ahead of time will yield a windfall when it sells.

Absolutely! And we can suggest those repairs because often the seller is looking at their home with "old eyes" that are used to the dings and nicks. Great tip Kathryn!
