North Carolina Military Base Disclosure

By
Real Estate Agent with Rhodes & Co Real Estate

Starting in July, the NC. Real Estate Commission will require homeowners to disclose that the location of their home is close to a military base. This is because of some being surprised by the noise of low flying planes and artillery. "The Sounds of Freedom" as many locals refer to it.

As my grand-kids would tell me "DUH"!  If the buyer has not done enough research on the area and it wasn't disclosed by their Realtor, shame on them.  We are all getting disclosure happy and getting carried away with consumer protection.  Don't get me wrong, I want my clients protected as well, but whatever happened to "Caveat Emptor".
