Time for some fun!

Have you all been feeling like there just isn't enough time in the day--with all the buyers, listings, learning and more learning about foreclosures, short sales and so on and so on?

I think the time has come for everyone to stop and take some time to enjoy this wonderful world we live in.  The movie "The Bucket List" got me thinking!  Why wait until we've been told we are going to die--we all are anyway.

So, how about this?  Start making a list--maybe we can call it something different--I'm open to suggestions--of things you haven't done or have done and would like to do again.  Assign one day per week--I know, who has a day!  Well, you have to make the time just like you make the time to get your work done.  On that one day you do the first thing on your list of fun activities, challenging, fun activities, maybe even fearful, fun activities.  Then each week, choose your activity and check it off your list.

We only go around once and I don't want to be sitting at death's door saying "Gee, I wish I had done this or that, but there was never enough time".  Make time--it'll help you live a happier, healthier and possibly a longer life and therefore you can keep adding more things to your list!

Enjoy each and every item on your list and I guarantee, you will feel so much better--maybe even better enough to be able to tackle all the hard work ahead of us!  Take time for yourself NOW!  Live, Love and Be Happy!!

Maggie,

what a refreshing thought. Of course as soon as we plan a day we get a client call. Ok. Ok. I'll find time to smell the roses ... or pick some daisies ... or walk the beach.

Lets shake things up at your home today!

Maggie, your post puts me in mind of 1992, as I was looking at a friend of mine laying in her casket, thinking about all the things she wanted to do in her life but she was always too busy.  At that point I decided no one was going to stand there looking at me in my casket and say the same thing.  I made up my mind to move to NYC, something I had wanted to do for years, but never did for some lame reason or another.  Within three months of my dear friends death, I was living in NYC and was there for 10 years, loving every minute of it.

Make that list, do those fun things, make the time, don't wait until it's too late!  Great post Maggie.

I'm taking a queue from Maggie's bucket list,... or ride a bike, or take a walk in the park, or go to an outdoor theater, where is my pen and paper?!

Maggie, I never though of it as "my bucket list" but rather "my life to live". I started as a graphic designer, achieved a CLIO in my twenties and awards in my thirties. Family, Real Estate... came next, and now I'm into the next chapter, I'm writing a novel. Another goal to achieve and then what? I'm sure it will come to me, all the time doing what i love!

Maggie ~ now that sounds like an interesting idea.  Afterall, why should we wait until the "end" when we should experience life....one week at a time.
