I've been going to the South Kingstown Farmers Market since I was in college at URI so supporting locally grown produce & products is important to me. Local businesses all over need locals to buy from them Plus who can resist those tempting freshly made cranberry orange scones early in the morning - not me.
Even bunnies & lambs are there for the kids to enjoy and pet...and sometimes a cow During the summer months there's music to buy by as well as cooking demonstrations on how to use fresh produce different health ways in your meals.
During my financial career in banking I also had an organic farm (my healthy way to deal with job stress) with my partner and South Kingstown Farmers Market was where we would sell our mesclun greens and unusual annuals & plants . It was a wonderful time in my life too. My customers and fellow growers were always so supportive & appreciative of what you produced from the good earth. Now many are my clients in real estate.
