Our favorite bread!
Whenever Patrice knows that I am headed to Southside, guess what, she hands me a coupon with orders to pick up a couple loaves of Sourdough from Niedlov's. If she and I are both headed to the Southside area and we have time, we plan for lunch at Niedlov's and a couple of loaves of bread. The sit down cafe is a great place for a quick lunch, coffee or to sit and catch up on some work.
Niedlov's Breadworks is a traditional artisan bakery that makes bread that is heavy, organic and kneads to be torn apart. They specialize in organic breads that are naturally leavened. The result is bread that has been handled with care, flavorful and hearty!
We stopped by early today, we are headed out of town for vacation. A fresh loaf will take us several hours down the road!
Niedlov's is one of a handful of bakeries in Chattanooga that offer freshly baked breads.
Originally opened as a bakery supplying restaurants in Chattanooga, Niedlov's quickly realized the knead for a retail presence. The location on Main is open Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Monday thru Saturday.
The next time you knead something special for dinner guests, check out Niedlov's Breadworks on Main Street 1.5 blocks east of Market Street.
Now if we could get a good bagel shop in Chattanooga!
