The Hangout Music & Arts Festival – A Recap

By

Come rain or shine (and rain it did on Sunday!) music lovers and devoted fans from all over Northwest Florida flocked to see their favorite bands play this past weekend at The Hangout in Gulf Shores, Alabama.  The severe thunderstorms and torrential rains on Sunday had the festivities postponed until late afternoon, but fans stuck it out in ankle deep water until the shows were back up and running.

Once the rain slowed down and the event got back in full swing, the artists certainly did not disappoint!  Michael Franti, started things off again Sunday afternoon and the crowd was filled with adoring fans dancing and singing along.  Ok Go really got into their set with front man, Damian Kulash, coming down into the crowd during one of their newest songs, "This Too Shall Pass."  Ben Harper and the Relentless 7 put on an amazing show, dazzling fans with his vocals and killer guitar skills.  Ray LaMontagne ended the night serenading the crowd with his beautiful crooning.

If you weren't able to make it out to the festival, here are some pictures of what you missed.
