A Brief Bio:
The Jay Allen One began creating original bits and pieces in 1999. Its style has been described as rock, classical, r&b and experimental. Influences include The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and JS Bach.
The Jay Allen One has recorded ten albums, beginning with a self-titled debut in 1999 and most recently a compilation of tracks from the '00s. An eleventh album is being developed and is scheduled for release in 2011.

I listened to ALL 15 of your soothing, thought provoking, talented and moving pieces...

My favorite is #7.... Calming in September 2003...it spoke volumes to me in my present situation....

Hello Linda Mae,

It's great to hear from you and thank you for the compliments!  I enjoy making music more than writing blogs and music certainly seems to create less animosity.  Most of the titles are based on lyrics that I have in mind for the songs, but the title for Calming was based on the mood of the melody - and if the melody doesn't "calm" hopefully it will at least momentarily change a mindset.
