petty people. My customers from yesterday ended up calling me this morning and evidently if the building were able to drop $100 from the price the noise at the Beer Garden in Jersey City, NJ 07302 would not bother them. Now the management company prices their apartments to move and this one was priced taking into consideration what goes on downstairs, but as much as I explained there would be no reduction in rent my customers insisted. I made the call--guess what someone else had taken the apartment--HA, HA!
I was extremely happy that this apartment ended up being rented, my customers having been playing two Realtors for the last several weeks as it seems, and evidently they lost the other apartment they may have been vascilating on. I do apologize if I seem glib, but this is my profession and I am very good at it. I did THREE leases yesterday, all with clients who repsect my time, and see the value in the properties which I have shown them. The understand that while it wasn't Liberty Towers they were renting, they were renting a quality apartment, which is maintained properly, great location, and best of all GREAT PRICE for Jersey City.
I really believe that these customers would have been well served had they been upfront with me or their other Realtor from the beginning. Either one of us could have shown them a bunch of places and guided them through the process. The reason they are in this last minute situation is that they were flakes, they wanted to be shady and just keep everything to themselves and in the end it ended up biting them in the rear. I sure hope they are better doctors than customers, because quite frankly these are customers I hope never to deal with again.
I only have a studio on the 2nd floor available July 1, 2010 left in this building! Too bad, it's a great building.
UPDATE FROM MY SATURDAY POST:
I got an email from my ex-girlfriend from college; I sent her the link to my blog entry from Saturday, and she was slightly choked up and just happy to see what I wrote. We admit there was love there and it was something strong, but it is from the past, and that we will both always have that place in our heart for one another. Life goes on, she graduated from college two weeks ago, even though it took her almost 20 years--SHE DID IT! I am extremely proud of her!
