"The Mad Hatters" had another year of fun and comradeship participating in the American Cancer Society "Relay For Life" event this past Friday night. This is our second year to enter and raise money for our common goal to beat cancer!
We all have experienced the loss of family, friends and colleagues through this disastrous disease that never sleeps!
Our goal was to raise $2,000. We exceeded our goal reaching $2,735!
Bob Woche, our team captain, did a great job of organizing our office. He was a little nervous when his 16 year old daughter who just got her driver's license, dropped him off and took off solo for her first time to drive alone!!
She was to text him when she got where she was going. There were a few anxious moments when he had not gotten the much awaited text as we walked the track! Finally he texted her to see if she was okay...Oops, she forgot to text dad!
Luminarias were placed all around the track for a lovely ceremony for 
those we now keep in our hearts. Carol, our assistant, a breast cancer survivor, placed two bags in the circle for her dad and cousin; loved ones taken from her life.
There was live entertainment and even line dancing throughout the night!
A good time was had by all!!
