Jonathan, that's very interesting. I had never heard of a witness tree though I remember that years ago they often used Natural Markers for property boundries. I was the co-executer to my great Aunts estate last year and we had to sell her 96 acre farm. In the lockbox we found all the deeds where it was purchased over 100 years ago and then transfered to different family members. The deeds were facinating.
