Still not sure what you want to do this weekend? If you can get to the MT. Baker area in Whatcom County you will see an event unlike any other. I live and work in this area and it so much fun to see the amazing athletes of all abilities participate and have a great time. It is essentially a relay race that starts with skiing on Mt. Baker, then a series of runners, bikers, canoers, and finally ends up in Bellingham Bay on a kayak. People come locally and from all over the world. It is like no other. From my cabin at Snowline, just a mile up the road from Glacier I can stand at the side of the road and cheer for the biking and or running portion of the race as it begins on Sunday morning.
Another fun event before the race on Sunday is a Saturday night Harvey Haggard Hoedown with food and live music right in the middle of 'town' at Glacier. It starts at 5:30 and is sponsored by the Foothills Chamber of Commerce of which I am a member.

So have a great time and explore the Mt. Baker area. There are opportunities year round for lots of activities including, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, canoeing, mountain biking, long distance biking, kayaking and just plain relaxing.
So check out the area and enjoy life, you deserve it! There are great communities for a getaway there, but then that is another story.
