Important Facebook tip. Do this today!

I have to say how surprised I am that so many real estate professionals who want their Facebook page to generate leads are not featuring their web site domain address on their front landing page
If your focus with FB is family, friends and non business social networking then put whatever you want on your front page.

But if you are one of the rapidly growing number of real estate Facebookers looking to grow your business and professional influence then be sure to feature your personal company website in the box under your photo on the left hand side of the page.  And here's a really important tip:  Make sure you type http:// before your website address. That way, visitors to your FB page simply need to click on it to connect to where you want to lead them. It's called hyper linking.

So when one of your contacts wants to buy or sell and remembers you are THE real estate guru in their area, they won't have to jump through hoops to find you.  Good marketing is about making it easier for your clients to get in touch and stay in touch.
Simply log on to your account and click on the little pencil edit symbol that comes up at the top right of the box under your profile photo.

If you really want to drive serious traffic to your site then you could look at placing a really juicy offer here that would link to a landing page explaining your offer and collecting their contact details when they click.  That's a big topic so I will save that one for another blog.

Here's to your success.  Dream Big & Take Names,  Ray.

Thanks, Ray! I do have a business page on Facebook that I describe as consumer information page. It has the link to my website under the photo.

Great tip!

Let me know if you would like to become a fan! LOL

There are more people than we could count who have Facebook accounts, but don't know what to do with them.  I consider myslef a computer-friendly person, and I'm just now learning how I should be using the different Social Media gateways to enhance my business.  Thank you for the heads-up.

Thanks for the suggestion. Just a question, though. Are you talking about the business page having the website information or the main page?

Great advice Ray.  I had to go check to make sure I had done this.  It's there but I don't believe it's generating any traffic.  Can't wait for the next blog on the offer.
