BUYING A NEW HOME IS A BIG INVESTMENT!
Here are some tips to help you with the purchase of your new home:
1. Get pre- approved for a mortgage loan. A letter from your lender tells the seller you are a serious buyer.
2. Start saving for closing costs that you will incur during your closing or settlement of your loan.
3. Talk to a Realtor about what you need in a home and what area you want to live in. Your children may be enrolled in school in a certain area or you want to enroll them after you move, this must be considered ahead of time.
4. Know how much you can afford for a mortgage payment and stick to that price range. Don't try to buy a house that you can't afford or will cause you to stress out after the closing.
5. After you put in your offer through your Realtor, make sure you get a home inspection done. Homes inspections are very important to home buyers. It is important with old and new homes. You never know what the inspector will find. There may be issues with the home you have chosen that need to fixed or negotiated prior to closing.
